A ‘Must Do’ Before You Die : Raleigh Meditation Center

must-do
Warner Bros. Pictures 2007

There is a film called The Bucket List starring leading actors, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. The bucket list refers to a list of things people want to accomplish before their death. It is to achieve things that one hasn’t yet done in one’s life, such as a trip around the world or reading more than 100 books, among many others.

Why would people make such a bucket list? Simply because no one knows what happens when they die. Because human has no wisdom, he cannot know where he came from, why he lives, and where he goes after he dies. The only way to know is to have the mind of wisdom. If we obtain the universe mind that is the mind of wisdom, while living, we can clearly know where human came from, why he lives and where he goes upon death because that mind knows all of the principles of the world. The reason why human is afraid of death is also because he does not have wisdom and knows nothing about what happens upon death.
So, I would like to tell you about one item that shouldn’t be left off your bucket list. It is to become the mind of the universe that is the truth while you are alive so that you know all of the principles of the world and therefore, you get to know that you never die eternally because life and death are one. That is it. It is really important. Things like traveling around the world are very limited events that do not last forever. All of the things that we can do with our bodies have limits and vanish someday. Earning a lot of money, being in love, living an honorable life, just like all other things in life, are things that disappears like bubbles as time flows by. However, if we find the universe mind that is the truth that never dies eternally while we are alive, and if we are born again from that universe mind as the never-dying soul, we can exist forever as the soul of the universe mind even after the body disappears. What would be more important and urgent in this world than living forever?
We should be born as a soul that is the truth while we are alive. We cannot do this study after we die. If you practice the study of Meditation while living and change the human mind to the universe mind, the universe mind knows all of the principles of the world so that you are always joyful and always happy. Also, you can know everything about what happens after human dies and how one can live forever. Literally, you can become a saint. Now, the study to actualize this has come out to the world. The righteous teacher who can teach this righteously has come to the world. Now is the generation that one can prove this by oneself. One should have the mind of true wisdom rather than knowledge obtained from books. You can become a wise person so that you can know all of the principles of the world and know what it means to live a righteous life. Furthermore, you can know that your true soul that becomes complete will live forever as it is even though your body vanishes. You can know everything because you gain wisdom and are wisdom itself.
What would be more valuable in the world than this? It is a must-have item that must not be left off your bucket list. Now, it is the generation that anyone can become a saint and live forever as the true mind while living. More than 3000 people have become complete only in the last year. Now is the generation when everyone becomes a complete person and lives forever. The school that teaches you this method is Meditation. Go and knock on the door of Meditation. The way is open while you are alive as a human.

I Appreciate Everybody and Everything ; Raleigh Meditation

I Appreciate Everybody and Everything

Agnes / Nairobi Kenya
I am only 20 years old and am so grateful to what has happened to my life. I owe it to this meditation which has truly helped me to know the true me and purpose.
Before I started this meditation I did not know anything. My self-esteem was so down such that I could not stand and talk before even few people. I did not have confidence at all. It is just so amazing how I am changing.
This meditation is the best miracle that has ever happened to me. Everybody should be here I hope they get a chance.
It was introduced to me by my blood sister and I could not wait to be there. I used to curse the day I was born because I felt life had no meaning at all. But now life is full of endless happiness and joy.
The first session while meditating I felt so relieved after the pictures that were trapping me unknowingly got lost. It is so amazing how the method made it happen beyond my expectations.
My character has greatly changed. I am so confident even to talk in public. I appreciate everybody and everything. It is more than words can say. I hope everybody get a chance to do it in getting rid of the pictures that deceive people. To the method and my helpers who help me and wish me all the best I am thankful you. Much Love.

Movie Stroy "Like Father Like Son" ; Raleigh Meditation

Like Father Like Son (そして に なる)

Director: Hirokazu Koreeda
Writer: Hirokazu Koreeda (screenplay)
Stars: Masaharu Fukuyama, Machiko Ono, Yôko Maki

The people in a blood relationship are called family, and the place where they live together is called their home. However, what would you do if those people whom you believed to be biologically related to you were not actually your blood? Is it right to keep the relationship of family with the same affection that you have had thus far? Or, is it right to form a new family by correctly sorting out the biological relationships? What does it mean to become a real family?
Ryota Nonomiya is the perfect office worker who never falls behind in his work even when faced with strong pressure. He became successful at an early age and lives affectionately with his family in a fancy apartment at the heart of Tokyo. One day, news from out of the blue is delivered to his family. He discovers that his sweet six-year-old son, Keita, is not his biological son. When Keita was born, the babies were swapped in the hospital. Ryota’s biological son was raised by someone else, in a completely different environment.
Ryota had never failed in his life. He had been better at everything than anyone else so he was confident that he could definitely sort out the tangled relationship of his family and raise his real biological son that he hasn’t even met yet. However, his biological son, Ryusei, who had been raised in a different environment for six years, is already living very happily with his “real” mom and dad at his “real” home. Also for Keita – even though he is not Ryota’s biological son, the people who have been taking care of him are his “real” mom and dad and the place where he is growing up is his “real” home. Ryota has been running forward only with great success until now. He has come to a crucial crossroads to find out what is the most precious thing in his life. The concept of life that Ryota has established begins to break down gradually through his experience with the other parents and innocence of the two children. Ryota comes to realize a very ordinary fact that family and home are something that people make together, not just preordained because of blood. He also realizes that his self and his life that he has regarded as superior and good were just within the frame of his own narrow conception. He even realizes that he has been treating and seeing the son he loves through his own frames. At the moment of his realizations, Ryota truly begins introspection. Such an odd circumstance has helped the two families realize the true meaning of family once again.
Throughout the film, you rarely find huge emotional swings or dramatic developments. However, the tranquility of the movie releases vibrations in our mind and it doesn’t easily calm down. Because that vibration comes from the real meaning of family, we are serenely reminded of our family and our home yet again from the camera angles and light in which we see the families. This film has given warm inspiration to so many people all over the world and eventually won the Jury Prize from the 2013 Festival de Cannes.
Then what is the true meaning of ‘family’ and ‘home’ beyond the dictionary definition? As the two boys in the movie felt, what creates deeper ties than a blood relationship are the times spent together. Even after a second passes by, that time never comes back again. How grateful it is that we can spend such precious times together at this very moment. We often forget about it. However, all of those precious people with whom you spend time with can become your family, caring for each other and loving and accepting each other unconditionally. If you think you cannot love others who aren’t blood related, it is time to change that viewpoint. We are all originally from the place of oneness. Therefore, even a distinction between my family and your family is not that important of a matter when seen from a broader perspective. When you abandon the frame of your mind first and have a bigger capacity for somebody else, you can become real family.
Furthermore, home isn’t just a place of accommodation for sleeping and eating. Anywhere you can spend your precious times with precious people can be your real home. If you go beyond even the concept of space, ties that are deeper than blood arises when you actually become one mind with others. Then, the place where our minds can become one – the place that is already of oneness – is the pure original nature of all of us. That is, the pure mind of the universe emptiness. It is the place transcending any kinds of attachments, expectations, judgments, discernments and conceptions. It is the universe that has no minds at all. I earnestly hope that everyone recovers that mind and meets the real family there so that all of us can live happily at our true home that is the origin.

The Mind Rests : Raleigh Meditation

Through art pieces, our minds can rest. A resting mind is important because fatigue doesn’t just go away only if the body is resting and the mind is unable to rest. The story goes on through an art piece by Vilhelm Hammershoi, Huile (Reposo).
The Mind Rests
Huile (Reposo),  Vilhelm Hammershoi, 1905
The subtitle of this piece is ‘meditation about the eccentricity of ordinary objects.’ Hammershoi expressed the backside of his wife, while she sat on a chair, in achromatic colors and added this subtitle. As we view her backside, we have no idea whether she really rests as we cannot see her face. Her backside depicts many stories. Countless stories could be told through her figure that her face doesn’t tell. The artist could have been trying to read the mind of his wife who was sitting with her back to the artist. A simple chair and table with a white plate fill up the space near her. The light illuminating on the back of her neck catches our eyes. That light does not reach her face. It seems that we can read her mind from her figure gazing at the dark shadow in the corner of the room. Is her mind really resting although she is resting on a chair?
As the subtitle suggests, we start to see ordinary objects eccentrically from the point of view of the mind’s eye and treat those ordinary objects around us with these minds. The mind works like that. Your mind makes you see the world differently and changes the world according to your standards. Would the artist have been willing to express the contradiction to the world that our mind has? It seems that she takes a rest but her figure is also nothing more than an object that looks eccentric. We even reach enlightenment through the process of meditation upon the scenery that such objects create. Many things are conveyed even in this instant moment that looks immensely ordinary. If we take out those many things one by one, what remains in the end is the empty canvas background. The world that the artist sees fills up the space that was once an empty canvas.
Here in this moment of rest expressed by Degas, the scene delivers many stories to us in a different way. A family strolling down the beach at a quick pace, an old gentle man taking a walk with a dog, and people enjoying leisure time at a shallow beach are painted as a background on the canvas. At the forefront, a ‘resting’ mom and child are into their own time not giving attention to the surrounding scene. The lady is combing the girl’s hair as the girl dozes off beside her. The scene that looks infinitely peaceful even comforts our mind. The lights from grey clouds over at the horizon and the pastel colored beach soothe our mind. The maestro of composition, Degas, has successfully arranged the positions of people, which catches our eyes.
The Mind Rests
Beach Scene. Edgar Degas, 1877
The power of art work is shown from here. This power transcends generations and cultures by penetrating our minds. Some art pieces make us reflect on ourselves and offer some time for giving it a thought, while some pieces purify our mind simply by looking at them. At the moment that the lady combs the hair of the girl, time in the scenery seemingly stops and gives our mind a rest by traveling more than a hundred years. Of course, no one will get the same impression from the pieces. When the rest is in our mind, we could see the rest from the world. When our mind is at rest, the whole world will rest; just as the time in Degas’s painting has peacefully rested for a hundred years. The true rest would be ‘eternity’ that transcends time.

What Is Hope For 2015? ; Raleigh Meditation

What Is Hope For 2015?

2015: A new year has begun. The word hope makes everyone excited. To people who did not have hope in the last year because of suffering and difficulty, the New Year allows them to dream for something new and to hope that this year would be different and better than the last year. But what is real hope? Many people yearn for hope in the new year, and create their New Year’s resolutions, such as being promoted at work, entering their coveted University, marrying, losing weight, and so on. However, what is the real hope that we really have to actualize this year? What is hope? Wouldn’t hope be to find something that we yearn for?
Something that we should really pursue is never-changing happiness, peace and freedom, isn’t it? It would be impossible to actualize a never-changing happiness, peace and freedom after a promotion or marriage. We all know this because they are temporary. Real hope is to find that inner peace and happiness that never change, that exist in our mind. Wouldn’t it be the real hope for the new year? It is common in human life to experience endless worries and conflicts in the mind. Whether you are rich or poor, whether you are a CEO or an employee, living life is a series of worries for everyone because their minds are busy with their many thoughts. And those minds make us exhausted and suffer.
What meaning is there living in this way? Till when do we have to live with struggle? We get to question about when the mind’s pain would change to happiness. The answer is simple. We can simply throw away the suffering mind and the mind of pain and stress. Our mind is like a garbage bin; our mind’s burden is accumulated like garbage unless we empty it out like emptying out a bin every day. We live peacefully without any worries when we are like a little child but as we grow up, we take on more responsibilities, worries and stress. As our mind accumulates more and more, that’s how we end up. In this way, we get to have illnesses. The most important thing in the world seems to be your mind becoming happy. Happiness of the mind does not come from more money, love, fame or accomplishment. We can become happy when our mind is clean; when our mind is emptied like the pure sky.
People talk about inner peace. The real peace is in me. Our mind is like pictures. From birth until now, we take pictures with our body, which is a camera, about what we see, hear and experience, and store them in the brain. We should know the fact that we ourselves are also living in our own mind, which are memories in the brain. We are not living in the real world but in our own mind world which is taken as pictures in the brain. That’s why human mind is pain and stress, and also it is death. As long as we are trapped in our own mind world, there would never be freedom, happiness or eternal peace. The universe mind is the mind of real happiness, the mind of peace and freedom, and also a place we can live with everlasting life.
In this new year, 2015, the real hope is to change my own mind to the universe mind and find the never-changing happiness and peace. You can’t even imagine how liberating and happy it is when you escape from the world of your own mind which is suffering that you have been living with so far. That is the only hope and true happiness.
